A True Dégustation

For my 30th birthday I received an amazing gift from some beloved friends; an afternoons relaxation at Blush Spa, having professional hair styling and makeup done. Niiiice.
But not only that- in the early evening the pampering continued with taxi to Amusé, a one year old restaurant, awarded "Best new restaurant" after being open for only six months! The menu, that changes every month is a nine course dégustation with matching wines.

The chef Hadleigh Troy has served at some of Australia's best restaurants and a few Michelin starred spots in London, as well as cooked with legendary chefs like Philippe Mouchel and Bjorn Van der Horst.

THIS is what our dear friends had arranged for Shawn and I to enjoy to celebrate my birthday! What a treat for new parents, a night out with fine dining, only the two of us. We had a fantastic experience and are soooo grateful for this wonderful night :-).

Janice and Sharin's Wedding

Development...

We now have a very quick crawler at home. The little man has also learnt how to stand up against almost anything and the first step is not very far away. Exciting times for mamma and pappa who keep the camera close to hand at all times!
Noah's vocabulary has expanded a little the last two weeks and "pa pa" is now a frequent word. I have picked up that he also says "atte" for "vatten" (water in Swedish), and yesterday he also made mormor very, very emotional as he called her "mo mo".

For the parents, we are now quite busy as cricket season has commenced. We have also started a little side project (more will be revealed in the near future) which we are very excited about. Other than that, we are enjoying our visitors from Sweden and try to make the most of the time while Noah's grandparents are here.
