Good News Week

Good news #1: I received my PR (Permanent Resident visa) today!!!
I'm allowed to stay Down Under until 2013 on this visa. And in a year I'm also eligible to apply for citizenship, which if granted means that I'm a "Aussie" and the visa hassle is gone forever, good stuff!

Good news #2: Noah took a first step towards a crawl today. Well done bub!

Good news #3: Noah got his first two teeth on Friday 22 August. Both at the same time, ouch!

Good news #4: We have finally decided to get a second car, so we've been to a couple of auctions this week.

Good news #5: All laundry got done today, thank God for child labour... ;-)

Uploading a couple of pics sharing what funny business we've been up to lately.

Jolly Jumper

Today we went to Babyland and bought a Jolly Jumper. Babies can start using them from the age of 3 months until when they start walking so considering Noah is already 7,5 months old, it is a "late" buy. But since he has lots of energy and only cat naps during the day, this is a great way of tiring him out. We were right, it was a very tired man that went to bed tonight after plenty of fun in the Jumper. What amazed us is how quickly Noah figured out how to enjoy his latest toy, within minutes he jumped away! Check out the video below :-).

Disagreement

Shawn came home tonight and loved the video from this morning that was posted on the blog. However, when he saw the other video that I had taken of Noah trying to get up on his four, Shawn said : "Why didn't you put up this one instead? Or both?".
Well what can I say, to the parents each captured moment is very precious, so here it comes hihi :-).

A bit of everything + a "Noah first"

Our internet has been quite slow the last few weeks, hence why no pics or posts on the blog. But now it's up running again so here it comes!
The last two weeks we have got plenty of vitamin D as the weather has been beautiful. As a part of my recovery from the back injury, I'm doing lots of walking around Lake Monger, which just around the corner from where we live. I'm really amazed of how quickly I'm getting back into things and the physio reckons I'll be able to commence normal exercise within the next 14 days- great stuff. Noah loves being out in his pram and the fresh air makes him sleep well & he is a happy little fella when waking up.Noah is also getting plenty of exercise as he goes to baby swim as well as he is working hard on standing on all four. The little man had a triumphery smile on his face as I came into his room this morning. He had something to show me... Up on his four he went where he managed to stay for almost 10 seconds! Watch the clip taken today of him mastering his new skill!

Also adding another clip from breakfast time a few days ago. Noah really wants to feed himself so he gets his own spoon to play with. I must admit though that mummy is quite happy that the "real messy" times haven't begun yet, -> calling the clip "Bless you" (Prosit in Swedish).

Today we had lunch at UWA with my old colleagues, Hui Chuin and Emma.
Emma is pregnant and is expecting in January next year so I'm currently going through Noah's newborn clothes to lend to her bub. How tiny are babies when they first enter the world?!?
Tomorrow Noah is 7 months old, I can't believe that he already is 7 months!! Going through his infant clothes blows my mind- he has grown so much! But when looking back at everything that has happened the last months, it actually feels much longer than 7 months. Shawn said the other night that it feels like Noah always been around, the time before he arrived feels like another life. True in a way... :-)
