Its that time you've all been waiting for!!

Travelling around Sweden is not the easiest job in the world, but someone's got to do it ;-)! We apologise for the delay in pictures but as you can imagine we've not had the facilities nor the time to be continuously updating the blog when travelling around.
Photos below are from Göteborg where one of Noah´s highlights where to bath in Annelie and Tony´s kitchen!

"Sverige är fantastiskt!"

It´s almost a month since we left Perth!
We arrived in Stockholm Sunday 13 April and it was snowing, however it melted very quickly. We stayed with Tina and Gunnar for a few days to catch up with them. We also met up with Susanna and Miguel for lunch and coffee with some of Maria´s friends from primary school.
On the Thursday we hopped on the train to travel down south to Noah´s grandparents in Lundsbrunn. They were sooo excited to meet our little bundle of joy for the first time!

Lundsbrunn is famous for its water springs and has been a health resort for the last two centuries, now with a modern Spa resort in the village.
After a week on the countryside with the beautiful forest just a minute´s walk away from Aina & Mats house, we have had plenty of fresh air and rest. We are having a wonderful time, jogging and taking long walks in the forest, golfing and making excursions to the nearby sights of this area of Sweden. We are yet to try out the Spa!

Noah´s Godmother Annelie, from Göteborg, has already been here on a visit- she thought he was much cuter in real life (mum and dad very proud hehe). Noah loves all the attention!

Noah has developed heaps the last two weeks. He can now grab things with his hands and reaches out for everything. He is also very interested in what we eat! He follows every move we make at the table and wants to get hold of it so he can explore what it is that we put in our mouths. Happiest is the little man sitting on the lap with a bottle so he can drink while the rest of us eat ;-).

This morning we visited the child health nurse- all was good. We received a bottle of AD vitamine, Swedish kids take this during the winter months due to the lack of sun light. Even though spring is here now it´s good for someone like Noah to eat is, as a true Aussie boy he is used to lots and lots of sun!

Time for a walkie- clear blue sky and 14 degree- perfect!

Will upload pictures soon...

One week down

Time flies when you're having fun! Lots has changed since I worked here in Phuket in 1999-2000 but some things still remain the same; you can have lots of things on the plate, yes literally on the plate, as you are eating sooo much good food here. We have outside enjoying the culinary aspects of Thailand, also explored some of the island, its still very beautiful nature, amazing animals and friendly people.

Day at the Beach

Well we are finally in Thailand and although yesterday went with out an major hitch, we felt very tired this morning. The bed was firm (thats the kind way of saying it) and we only had one very puffed up pillow each. It was a tuff night, luckily Noah slept right through.

Often when you go on holiday you get that feeling that you've forgotten to pack something. Maria had that feeling in the taxi to the airport and although we had tried to think of what it was, we just couldn't put our finger on it............until this morning. It wasn't what we had forgotten to pack but what we had forgotten to DO! We had not given the keys to our hoousesitter, Bronwyn. In the rush of our last few days in Perth, we had forgotten all about it. Someone once said "never assume anything". We assumed that Moa and David had the right set of keys for our house. They didn't. We changed our locks and had a dead lock added and since then have never made an extra set to give to M & D just in case we lock ourselves out.
Hopefully this will sort itself out quickly with Bronwyn getting the keys from the realestate tomorrow.
I was very tired and slept some more after breakfast whilst Maria organised our room and unpacked. Just after midday we were on our way to Kamala Beach, just a short tuk tuk drive from Surin Beach. We had organised to meet with Petra (and old friend of Maria's from her tour guide days who is now GM of the hotel we are staying in) on the beach for some R & R.
It started to get warm around midday but when we got to the beach, a breeze was blowing and there was a clear blue sky.
Below are some photos of Noah's first day at the Beach.

The first day of our holiday

Pictures from yesterday; on the plane where Noah also happily snuggled in the bassinet, as well as the first time in the pool and the dinner on the beach...
