Progress report of the little man

- Builds towers with Lego.
-Knows most body parts by now.
-Colours are fun and recognises some of them and also says "blÄ".
-Knows the most common animals and makes the sound of them too. On Sweden Day, he tried horse riding for the first time. It was so much fun riding the little pony that when the ride was over, he screamed and kicked his legs in anger :-).
-The electronic skills have gone from turning on and off the TV, to also knowing how to turn on the DVD and what further buttons to press to get his movies to play.
-Cars, airplanes, buses, motorhomes and trains are GREAT FUN- loves riding them all.
-Understands most of what we say to him and can communicate back what he wants. Vocabulary has increased with a few words.
-Loves the Swedish food and eats heaps. Has even outgrown his hat so we have to buy a new one for the winter!

Happy Times

After a couple of fun days in Gothenburg with Annelie & Tony (which included Noah´s first haircut, pics to come...), this morning it was time to continue our journey to mormor & morfar in Lundsbrunn. The bus ride was exciting and the little man pointed at everything we drove past. It was that exciting that he feel asleep, sitting upright on the bus seat haha, something veeeeery unusal for Mr Noah.

Noah recognised his grand parents straight away and spent the afternoon with morfar at the playground and later in the big backyard. Even though it´s spring, here in Sweden we know to keep warm clothes at an arms length at all times and today, they came in handy as it was a little nippy. But the temperature didn´t stop Noah from having a great time outside (a true Swede...), he was such a happy little chap :-).

Safe & Sound

Noah and I arrived safely in Sweden last night. All flights were on time and Noah was so well behaved during the whole trip, didn´t cry once!
We have just had lunch and are heading out for a walk and play in the park with Noah´s God mother Annelie. We have arrived to the lovely spring in Sweden with a clear blue sky and trees that are lime green, so beautiful!

We're leaving on a jet plane....

....for Sweden!...And will be back again in 5 weeks!
I got a fantastic Mother's Day gift from my parents this week; an airline ticket!
So Noah and I are going to visit mormor och morfar and we are leaving THIS SUNDAY! Perfect timing to go to Sweden in spring/ early summer, I'm sure Noah will have a blast (and me too of course).
This time of the year it's really busy for Shawn with assignment hand in's and final exams. So us being away for a few weeks will allow Shawn to focus on his studies and his final exams that are coming up in June (I don't envy him...)

Wish us a great flight (with Noah sleeping most of it pleeease...)! I'll be in touch!

Singing & Counting (...?)

One of Noah's frequently used words is "potaaaa". This is his own word for banana. If you say banan to him (which is Swedish for banana), he will happily respond to you with.... And random or not, the boy can count ;-)...

An afternoon in suburbia

It's school holidays so Aunty Serina stayed over one night this week and we had a great time. Here are some pics from the afternoon at the park across the road from where we live.

Keeping Aunty busy!
